Is there anything she doesn't look good in?

I am beginning to feel like I am blogging a catalog of Amelia's closet, because here are more photo's of her in a couple more of my favourite outfits. This first outfit is one of my absolute favourites. I almost wish they had one just like it for grown ups, I would definitely buy it, although I don't think I'd look quite as cute as Amelia.

Is it just me or does the photo below remind you of a 'time out' doll?

Pretty in pink

I love her little hands and toes in this photo

I love this photo...it was taken a couple of days ago, right before we tucked her in, I could watch her sleep for hours and I just love to kiss those rosy cheeks !

Goodnight!

Swimming, Swimming, in the swimming pool...

Three weeks ago, we signed up for the Parent/Tot swim class at the Dallas Aquatic Center. Even when I was pregnant and taking part in the deep water aerobics, I couldn't wait until I had my baby girl and was able to take her to these classes, for one thing they take place in the therapy pool which is lovely and warm instead of the cold pool that we would work out in.

We bought Amelia a very cute swimsuit (Nana, notice the little butterfly on her swimsuit) and now take her to the pool for a half hour every Monday evening. When we are there we sing nursery rhymes and mainly spend time getting our babies used to the water, the age range is from 6 months to 3 years old and I think Amelia is the youngest in the group. Unfortunately she thinks the water is for licking or drinking and has spluttered a couple of times when trying to drink it, but other than that, she does really well. It's quite funny because she is very serious when she is there and tends to want to observe all of the other little ones around her.

Here are some photo's of her second week in the class, as you can see she is quite the 'water baby'.

My 'Ordinary Miracle'

Here's yet more photographs of Amelia in another beautiful dress that was bought for her before she was born. I love the colour and particularly the smocking on the front. The only problem is, she is growing so fast and only gets to wear her clothes a few times before growing out of them. I just hope my blog isn't getting boring since I keep posting similar photographs.

Peek-a-boo!

Just look at those beautiful big eyes!

...and a smile that melts my heart.

Standing Up...At Seven Months!

Last week, Amelia was sitting by her Activity Gym with the boppy pillow behind her in case she fell backwards. I was looking the other way talking then just happened to turn around to check on Amelia and I could not believe my eyes. She had pulled herself up and with the aid of the bars on her Activity Gym was standing all by herself, I couldn't help but scream outloud 'look, she's standing'. As you can see by the photo's she thought mummy's reaction was quite funny.

So Stylish in her Summer Hat

The past few days have been very sunny and warm, so, Amelia got to wear a couple of her new Summer outfits. Here she is in one of them, complete with sun-hat, as Grandma Rawe said,"she's ready for the beach!" all she needs is a bucket and spade.

Just when I think she can't possibly get any cuter...

Sunday Best

Amelia and I celebrate my first mother's day as a mum!

So, here is the most beautiful Easter Dress in my eyes. I knew I wanted polka dots but just hadn't found the right dress, until I stumbled upon this one. Unfortunately, Amelia and I were both sick over the Easter weekend and she didn't get to wear it, the following week we were in California so she still didn't wear it, happily, she finally got to wear it the week after that (good job I bought a slightly bigger size). I just love her in it, it's perfect. Oh by the way, that's her new Bunny that she got in her Easter Basket.

Here she is in yet another another cute 'Sunday dress', I'm not sure what's more pink, the dress or her rosy cheeks!

Oh how I love my sweet baby girl!

Motherhood

On Sunday, I celebrated my first 'Mother's Day' as a mum, it was a wonderful feeling to know that I have been blessed with a lovely daughter who means everything to me and her daddy. Matthew and Amelia gave me the most lovely cards and I was treated to an 'i-tunes' gift certificate, a cover for my new i-pod and a fantastic CD/DVD of Josh Groban's 'AWAKE' Tour, I felt very spoiled and loved.
Matthew spoke at church too, his topic was 'wives and mothers of a prophet', he shared lots of wonderful stories and quotes relating to motherhood. I admire his confidence when he speaks to large groups, he did really well. Since he was sat on the stand, I took care of our wiggly daughter, she's so busy and into everything these days and it can be hard to have her sit for an hour, saying that, she did really well thanks to lots of teething rings and toys.

Of course, my thoughts were also with my mum on this special day. For those of you who know her, you already know what a wonderful woman she is. To me she is everything a mum should be. She is the only one who knows me completely, who will let me 'rant and rave' and love me anyway. During the past 34 years, we have gone through many happy days, sad days, exciting days and heartbreaking days, she has always been there for me, even though not always physically, since I live 6,000 miles away, she has always been on the other end of the phone helping me with decisions in my life. When I made decisions that were not the best, she supported me anyway, I always felt loved and who can ask for more than that.

I know she doesn't always give herself credit for the good job she has done, but I want her to know that I am who I am today, because of her, I adore and admire everything about her and hope to be as good a mum to Amelia as she has been to me.

When I think about how hard it must have been for her to let me move to America, I understand how selfless she was, she gave me wings and let me fly, even though this must have been so hard.

Mum, you are my best friend, my confidant and the most special woman in my life. Thank you for all that you have done for me and all that you continue to do, I hope I always make you proud, and hope you know I love you eternally!

You are the best...
I miss you and cannot wait to see you in September!

Something To Grab...

Just lately, Amelia is grabbing everything, she loves to pull my hair and laughs with delight when I squeal in pain. I just couldn't help smiling when I saw her torturing daddy by pulling his ear.

I wonder if this is what she was thinking...

"Daddy and I love to watch the game together on the couch"

"hey, here's something I can grab..."

"there, I pulled it, oh...what's wrong with daddy?"

"Hee, hee, he wasn't expecting that, I made him squeal!"

"That was so mischievous of me, good job I'm so cute, otherwise I might get into trouble"

"Poor daddy!"

Just Horsin' Around!

Last Saturday, we took Amelia to Grandpa and Grandma Rawe's house.

It was a beautiful day and Amelia got to see the horses close up, she even saw the new baby horse, born just a few days earlier.
Of course, the camera was handy...

Amelia was quite intrigued and the horses seemed equally curious as they both put their necks through the fence to get as close as possible.

She's a brave girl and even got to pet the horses nose.

Fun times!

White, not practical but pretty!

We had a lovely warm day last weekend, so I was able to dress Amelia in one of her summer outfits. I bought it a while ago, but it only just fits. I love how simple it is.
As you can see, It was just one more thing for Amelia to chew!

I love how she holds on to her tiny toes.

My happy girl!
