Last year, Amelia didn't get to wear her new Easter dress on Easter Sunday, since she was poorly and stayed home from church. Well, this girl is certainly consistent, the same thing happened this year. She ended up having a terrible cold and so Matthew stayed home from church with her.
We still enjoyed some Easter festivities at home, so all was not lost, but as you can see from the photo's, my poor little girl was just not feeling up to par.
Amelia got her first doll in her Easter basket, she seemed very pleased.

Her Easter baskets were a special gift. A dear friend from work bought them for Amelia last year, they are wooden, one painted yellow with ducks and the other blue with bunnies, they are perfect and I hope Amelia gets to use them year after year.

Of course if you have a baby you need a stroller, so of course Amelia got one of those too. We decided to get the doll and stroller for her since she has just started attending nursery at church and she loves to play with the stroller and doll there.

Amelia wanted her stroller so that she and her new baby doll could sit together to watch a show.

What a cute pair.
I filled plastic eggs with goldfish crackers and teddy grahams, and just a couple of them had M&M's too.

Being the smart girl that she is, she soon figured out that the eggs with M&M's in had a different sound and did her best to find the chocolate. Here she is with the evidence on her bottom lip.

The following week, Amelia finally got to wear her beautiful pink silk Easter dress.

She giggled as I placed the many layers over her head, and then proceeded to roll around the floor, what a lady!

Unfortunately, she's not the happiest in this photo, I was rushing around trying to get a photo before leaving for church, at least it shows how pretty she is, even with a sad face.

Below she is practicing being a stork or something...perhaps just practicing a yoga pose.

Even though this last photo is quite out of focus, I wanted to show you that she really did like her dress. She was moving at the speed of light.

My sweet pink meringue!
