Easter Festivities

Last year, Amelia didn't get to wear her new Easter dress on Easter Sunday, since she was poorly and stayed home from church. Well, this girl is certainly consistent, the same thing happened this year. She ended up having a terrible cold and so Matthew stayed home from church with her.

We still enjoyed some Easter festivities at home, so all was not lost, but as you can see from the photo's, my poor little girl was just not feeling up to par.
Amelia got her first doll in her Easter basket, she seemed very pleased.

Her Easter baskets were a special gift. A dear friend from work bought them for Amelia last year, they are wooden, one painted yellow with ducks and the other blue with bunnies, they are perfect and I hope Amelia gets to use them year after year.

Of course if you have a baby you need a stroller, so of course Amelia got one of those too. We decided to get the doll and stroller for her since she has just started attending nursery at church and she loves to play with the stroller and doll there.

Amelia wanted her stroller so that she and her new baby doll could sit together to watch a show.

What a cute pair.

I filled plastic eggs with goldfish crackers and teddy grahams, and just a couple of them had M&M's too.

Being the smart girl that she is, she soon figured out that the eggs with M&M's in had a different sound and did her best to find the chocolate. Here she is with the evidence on her bottom lip.

The following week, Amelia finally got to wear her beautiful pink silk Easter dress.

She giggled as I placed the many layers over her head, and then proceeded to roll around the floor, what a lady!

Unfortunately, she's not the happiest in this photo, I was rushing around trying to get a photo before leaving for church, at least it shows how pretty she is, even with a sad face.

Below she is practicing being a stork or something...perhaps just practicing a yoga pose.

Even though this last photo is quite out of focus, I wanted to show you that she really did like her dress. She was moving at the speed of light.

My sweet pink meringue!

Covered Bridges

A couple of Sunday's ago, the sun came out and we decided to go out for an afternoon stroll to a covered bridge about 40 minutes away. We had a great time and Amelia loved being out just running here, there and everywhere...

One of Amelia's favorites modes of transportation is on somebody's shoulders (mostly daddy's)...

...She's so high up that she can reach into the trees

Amelia stopped to watch the dog swimming in the water, it was obvious that there was a pretty strong current but the dog did just fine.

It was so peaceful and relaxing.

Of course, Amelia wanted to pick up rocks, one of her favorite past-times these days.

Such a solemn expression...I wonder what she's thinking about.

This girl is loved so much by her daddy and I and we will steal kisses and cuddles every chance we get.

Above it looks like she's ready to get down, and just look at what she did to my hair, she loves to mess it up with her fingers and does it quite well.

A view of the bridge from the rear side.

There was another bridge parallel to the covered bridge, I snapped away as Amelia had fun looked over the water.

Another thing I love is seeing the world through Amelia's curious eyes. She's always picking "stuff" up.

She was especially intrigued with this pine cone, I love her tiny little hand.

We found a strange, concrete bench to rest on.

The covered bridge was really neat to take photo's of.

Below, I zoomed right in to my baby's pale sweet face, trying to capture every moment.

Daddy holds Amelia's hand.

Contemplating!

Family stroll's are so much fun. I am so glad the weather is beginning to warm up, hopefully there'll be many more afternoons like this one.

Blossoms in the Park - Part II

Following on from my last post, here are some of the photo's I took in the Capitol Mall Park area. As usual, I had so many favourites, I couldn't choose just a few.

The photo above was so cute because Amelia decided that she wanted to lay down just like Echo and Kant.
What a fun memory our day in the park is.
