Looking Great in Corduroy Pants

When we visited England last Autumn, Auntie Carol bought Amelia a beautiful outfit, and although it is a size 12 - 18 months, was a little big for her at the time. It seems that English clothing for babies/toddlers is often bigger than the same size here in the US, not sure why. Anyway, today I tried the outfit on and it fit perfectly and looked oh-so-cute.

Here are some photo's especially for Auntie Carol and Uncle David. Thank you for buying this lovely outfit for Amelia.

While modelling, she had fun running around the living room...

Here she is in a more relaxed pose.

More running...

It's the perfect outfit to watch a movie in, here she is watching Wall-E.

But not for long, up again and running around.

She's a natural model I guess, just look at the way those hands are placed under her knee.

Ah, another photo taken as she watched her movie.

Wow, these photo's really make me see how fast she is growing up!

The Cutest Cowboys and Cowgirls Around

It was my niece, Lexi's, birthday when we were in Texas. Since we don't all live close by, a birthday party was planned for all of the cousins to enjoy, to make up for those special days when they cannot be together. It was, of course, a western theme, each cousin dressed up with cowboy hats and bandana's, they even had their own horse.

Out on the plains they went...

Uncle Nate offers a helping hand to our little cowgirl.

Then, the first pinata Amelia has ever seen...

Boy, did she have fun with that!

Erm, grandpa, I don't think that hat's the right size for you.

After all the fun outside, it was time for everybody to enjoy a special birthday cake of their own.

As you can see, it was quite delicious and enjoyed by all.

What a fun way to celebrate everybody's birthday at one time!
And have you ever seen cuter cowboys and cowgirls?

Dancing With Grandpa

The Stockyards is a fun place to visit in Texas. We spent a day there, and all wore our stylish "Rawe Reunion" T-shirts, which were designed by my brother in law, Jeremy.

There are lots of fun shops and we even got to see the longhorns as they were paraded down the street. A small country band was playing, and as I looked on, Grandpa scooped up some of his grandaughters and danced with them. Here he is with Amelia. What a great memory. It reminded me of dancing with my dad. I am grateful that my daughter is part of a wonderful family who love her so much.

Keeping Cool By The Pool

Texas was hot, hot, hot, so, to keep cool, we hung out by the pool at Jeremy and Heidi's home. It was beautiful and the water was so refreshing. Amelia hadn't been swimming since she was 6 months old, but she loved it. Even when she was shivering, she refused to come out.

Amelia enjoyed her first ice lolly. It even matched her swimsuit.

Everybody had so much fun!

Deep In The Heart of Texas

We headed to Texas on July 30, for a Rawe Family Reunion. It was the first time Matthew's parents, siblings and their families had all been together in one place for a few years. On one of the mornings, we went to a local park and posed for photo's with photographer Becky Eastman . It was 8 o'clock in the morning, when we all met up, the park was beautiful and there were even turtles swimming in the stream. Unfortunately, Amelia didn't feel so good and was quite tired, but a packet of Scooby Snacks did the trick, and the end result was great. Best of all, we now have beautiful photo's of our whole family together that remind us of our wonderful reunion.

Above, all the cousins sit together, I wonder which one comes from Oregon...oh yes the pale faced girl on the end.

Matthew, Amelia and I posed for our family photo together, I thought it came out pretty cute.

Another picture of all of the cousins...

We were even able to take a photo with my mum and step-dad, I am so glad they were able to join us on this fun holiday. It made it extra special for me, and they had a fabulous time.

I have lot's more photo's to share of all of the fun adventures we had together in Texas,
so I hope you will check back soon.
