Little Miss Ladybird

I have found out that not only is it my baby's first year to experience different things, but it is also mine.

Since she is now a year old, we decided to get her a costume and dress up for Halloween, what a cute little ladybird she turned out to be. I was so excited to be able to take her into work and show off her new look. Since I had my camera (of course), I took her outside to play in the leaves, after all, what else does a ladybird like to do?

What a cheeky grin she has...

Sitting on a park bench at the Capitol Mall.

Amelia wasn't quite walking yet, but my friend Natalya held her hand so she could be more mobile without shuffling in the damp grass.

The day before Halloween, we attended a special party at church, everybody got dressed up.

Sitting amongst the pumpkins.

This is Bryson and he is a tiny bit younger than Amelia, but what a cute couple they make, he's a total sweetheart of a boy.

Such a sweet expression.

The next day, I even got dressed up too. I was very grateful to my friend, Heidi, who let me borrow her costume. Amelia, daddy and I went out trick-or-treating, it was the first time I remember doing it myself.

When we got back, Amelia checked out her "loot", she got many tasty treats and started first off trying to eat a peppermint pattie through the foil.

What a fun night we had!

"Ladybird" as you say, or "Ladybug" as we say, she sure was a cute one. And it looks like she kept her hat on - wow - what an acomplishment.

Well, this little Ladybird/Ladybug is the cutest I've ever seen. What a doll!
