Fun with Kant

A week ago Friday, I took Amelia to work with me for a couple of hours in the morning, she was a little quiet and it wasn't easy to get work done and take care of her at the same time. At break time we decided to take her out to play with Traci and her dogs.

Amelia loves animals and was very excited to see Kant and Echo, of course I didn't happen to have my camera but Traci did, so she posed her very obedient dog and we stood Amelia right next to him for a photo op. As you can see it was the highlight of her morning.

We plan to take more photo's once the blossoms appear in a month or so. Traci also helps a friend who has sheep and new lambs who were born during the past couple of weeks, hopefully we'll get out there too to introduce Amelia to the lambs. Stay tuned.

My Poorly Girl

They say that a child get's sick many times during their first year or two, and Amelia is no exception to that rule. Nothing serious of course, just a few colds and only one time before has she had a fever.

Last week, she was restless throughout the night, sometimes a sign that she isn't feeling too good. When I went into her room in the early hours of the morning, she felt quite hot, I felt so bad because we had left her for for a while, hoping she'd go back to sleep, not realizing that she was fussing because she was poorly, there goes the mother of the year award. Since she had a temperature, we didn't take her to daycare.

Since Amelia is always a busy girl and into everything, the only time I really get to sit and cuddle with her without her protesting is when she has a fever, so as much as I hate to see her sick, I do enjoy that part.

She also sleeps a lot, without any fuss.

I just love her sweet rosy cheeks and ballerina pyjama's.
We called Nana, because she always makes us smile when we're under the weather.

It's almost a week later and happily she's feeling so much better now. Although we have noticed a new top front tooth and another one lower towards the back...Since she didn't have any other symptoms, I have to wonder, could this be what caused the fever?
