Oh So Stylish!

I have always loved hats, so it's no surprise that I fell totally in love with this photograph of Amelia wearing a hat at daycare. She get's the five star treatment when she's there and often comes home with hair in cute little styles, finger and toenails painted pretty shades of pink. I'm so grateful to Bethanie and her daughter who took this photo and shared it with me, so that all of you can enjoy my little princess looking "oh so stylish!"

Fun on the Slide

Last Christmas, Santa brought Amelia a little slide that she hadn't really been able to use until now. As the garden was nearing completion, we decided to let her try the slide to see how she liked it.

I thought she might be cautious at first, but of course, I was wrong. She immediately stepped onto the first rung of the three step ladder and climbed to the top. After easily maneuvering the top, off she went. At first she used her tiny toes to slow herself down, but before long, she was fearlessly gliding, happily down the slide.

Of course, we had to capture all the fun on camera and video, enjoy!

What Makes The Perfect Father?

I suppose some might say that there is no such thing as a "perfect" father, but I have to say, Matthew is about as close as you can get.

From the moment Amelia was born, he has done all he can to make sure her basic needs were taken care of. But more importantly, he has always shown her how much he loves and cares for her. I remember falling even more in love with Matthew, when he became a dad, and I feel truly blessed that my daughter will grow up with a wonderful father. Having a great dad myself, I know the value that it is.

Below daddy opens a gift that Amelia made for him at Nursery...

...it was a cute carton full of hershey's hugs and kisses, with a beautiful poem on top. Amelia enjoyed decorating it with lots of foam hearts.

Later in the evening, we decided to go out for family walk.

After a little while, Amelia ended up on daddy's shoulders, he is so tall that it is the perfect place to be for the best views around.
