We Made Our Own Pizza!

Those of you who know my husband, know that he is a real fan of pizza, so a couple of weeks ago I decided it would be fun to make my own pizza dough so that we could have a family pizza night. After finding a recipe online, Amelia and I went to work making the dough. After it was done we wrapped it up well and put it in the fridge, and that's where it sat for 2 days. When Saturday came, we unwrapped the dough and the real fun began. Daddy and daughter grated the cheese and then added their toppings. Amelia and daddy shared their pizza, it was quite the combination, ham, pineapple and olives (oh and Amelia thought the more pineapple juice the better). The second pizza was rather boring, just the way I like it, and just had cheese. It was really pretty good, not to mention a great family activity!

Amelia was a great help and loved stretching the dough.

A big thumbs up, it's ready for the oven.

10 minutes later, dinner's ready!

The moment of truth...

Pizza anyone?

"Daddy's Home!"

Last week Matthew worked late. Amelia and I had just finished dinner when we heard the familiar sound of the garage door opening. She ran to hide beside the kitchen cabinet, it was so very lovely to see the anticipation and excitement on her face as she waited to jump out and surprise her daddy!

Of course, daddy was equally excited to see his little girl, and especially enjoyed the hugs and kisses, it was the perfect welcome home!

These are the precious moments that make our family great!

Snow Day

On the 24th of February, we woke up to snow. Everything looked so lovely, somehow clean and perfect. Matthew was working away from home during that week, so it was my job to get Amelia to daycare. Since we don't get too much snow, I decided to take full advantage of it and dressed her in full snowbibs. She looked adorable, and very much enjoyed experiencing the crisp, white stuff under her feet, even if it was for just a few minutes in the morning...I would like to get more snow so that we can build a snowman or make snow angels, unfortunately, this snow had all but melted by the early afternoon!

It was fun while it lasted!
