Someday I would love to go to Holland to see the endless rows of tulips and fabulous windmills. Until that day comes, I am happy with our annual trip to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival. Every spring I look forward to our family day out, it's also fun to look back at the previous year to see how much Amelia has grown.
This year, the tulip season is a little later, due to the cold, wet weather we have been having, but luckily for us, we chose the perfect Saturday during Easter weekend, and enjoyed a warm, sunny day amongst the colourful backdrop of the tulip fields.
Of course, I took as many photo's as I could, we all had a great time. Following are some of my favourite photo's for you to enjoy! (Don't forget to click on the photo's if you want to see a larger image).
Being one of the first sunny days we had enjoyed in a while, Amelia and Matthew ended up a little pinker by the end of the day, and when I washed off her face painting, you could still faintly see the outline of the petals that had been painted on Amelia's cheek.
Ah well, that's that for another year!
Where do you love to go to celebrate the Spring?

Absolutely gorgeous this year!! Oh how I miss going to the Tulip Festival! Brings back alot of cherished memories. Amelia looks so grown up. How did you get Matthew in a collared shirt?
Love Amelia's hair!
WOW .. what a gorgeous field of tulips11 That is an excellent Spring tradition that results in amazing photos!
I love this time of year and really miss going out to the tulip farm. Amelia you look good on the pony but the pony needs some work in grooming to match the cute little girl on its back. It doesn't look like one of grandpa's. I love it that you are my little cowgirl. Love you Grandpa
Pretty as a picture. I remember Amelia pumping the ducks when we were at the pumpkin patch last year, happy memories. One year we will have to go to the tulip fields with you, they look beautiful.
